(Correspondent: Li Xue) On the afternoon of June 11, Li Jianqiang, Visiting Distinguished Professor of International Business School of Shaanxi Normal University, chair professor of the Yangtze River Scholar, and Academician from International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences, visited the School and gave an academic lecture entitled “Supply Chain Finance: Development and Challenge” in Lecture Hall 324 of Xinyuan Building. Professor Chen Xi, Director of Department of Industrial Engineering of the School, presided over the seminar where more than 80 teachers and students were present.

Li Jianqiang explained the knowledge about supply chain finance to teachers and students from such aspects as characteristics, development process, main mode, development scale and space and risks of supply chain finance. The lecture was so novel and rich in contents that aroused the interest of both teachers and students. Besides, Professor Li shared his psychological process during repeated revision and submission along with the academic publication. The interaction with teachers and students was very active. All teachers and students present benefited a lot.
Professor Li Jianqiang’s research fields are reported to include supply chain management, risk management, financial engineering, big data and business intelligence. In 2020, he was ranked in the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists by Stanford University in the US. He also acts as the Chairman of AARCM. Engaged in actively promoting China’s intelligent manufacturing, he is well received by all walks of life.
