(Correspondent: Chen Yuan) On October 26, the first International Conference on Intelligent Economy and Management Innovation & the second Academic Conference on Industrial Development Systems Engineering of Systems Engineering Society of Chinawas held in Lecture Hall 324, Xinyuan Building. This conference was held jointly by Systems Engineering Society of China, Xidian University, Liaoning Visual Information and Intelligent Industry Technology Research Institute and Liaoning Fangde Network Development Co., Ltd., and undertaken by SEM and Industrial Development System Engineering Chapter of Systems Engineering Society of China. The forum report was heard by relevant leaders, masters and doctoral students of SEM.
The conference focused on the theme “‘Double-carbon (carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions)’Objective and the Industrial Transformation &Management Innovation in Digital Intelligence”. Yang Xiaoguang, the researcher of Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science Chinese Academy of Sciences, the national outstanding scientific and technical worker, a winner of the National Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the president of the Engineering Society of China, delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony. Xie Junzhan, Vice President of Xidian University and Dean of SEM, presented at opening ceremony and made a speech. Li Yaoping, SEM Party Secretary presided over the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Yang Xiaoguang, on behalf of the Systems Engineering Society of China, warmly congratulated the conference, and expressed the support and high expectations for SEM’s preparation of the Industrial Development Systems Engineering Chapter. He pointed out that, in the fight against COVID-19, China can get a national effort to maintain the nationwide production and life in normal and stable development, by virtue of its complete industrial system. It is very important to research the achievements in China’s fight against COVID-19 and coordinate it with national economic development from the perspective of system engineering. “Double-carbon” objective as well as intelligent economy and digital economy are our development direction in the future. On this basis, it is of great significance to exchange ideological achievements and offer advices and suggestions for national industrial development for better implementation of new development concept. He hoped the experts present to discuss actively and better exert their roles as the think tanks in national economic construction.
Xie Junzhan indicated that CPC Central Committee cored by Comrade Xi Jinping pays high attention to the development of AI, intelligent industry and intelligent economy. As a university featured by electronic information, XDU, withGeneral Secretary Xi Jinping’s greetings and entrustment to our teachers in mind, strives to create major achievements and fully reflects our sense of responsibility. At this important moment, XDU held this meeting to gather strengths and wisdom, being of great significance. He hoped each teacher and student to listen carefully, make statements, interact and exchange actively, increase their knowledge and probe in new research directions, so as to incline the researches more to the important values required by the national and social development, and continue our due contributions to the strategy of developing the country through science and education, the innovation-driven development strategy and the “double first-class” construction of the School. Moreover, he said that SEM will carry on its focus on practical things and march in the new journey together in the wave of intelligent economy and management.
The meeting was held online and offline, at which the experts and scholars delivered ten reports, involving industrial digitization, industrial greening, block-chain and digital intelligence management, innovation research on realization path and mode of “double carbon” objective, regional energy transformation, innovative development of logistics and supply chain, and cryptocurrency market, etc., with a focus on cuttingedge and abundant content.
SEM Honorary Dean Prof. Wang Shouyang delivered his brilliant report, in which he showed his great support for SEM’s preparatory establishment of Industrial Development System Engineering Chapter of Systems Engineering Society of China, gave beneficial suggestions and indicated the development direction of the Chapter’s future scientific research and social services in respect of industrial development and industrial chain security, etc.
SEM Executive Dean Chai Jian made a statement at the closing ceremony and thanked the experts present for their brilliant reports made. He said that, the preparation and construction of Industrial Development System Engineering Chapter of Systems Engineering Society of China by SEM cannot be done without recognition and support of experts and scholars from all walks of life. This conference was held by relying on this platform and Shaanxi University New Think Tank of Intelligent Economy and Management Research Center. It gathered the thinking and ideas of top experts from around the world, at which the teachers and students were greatly enlightened. In this way, a complete success was achieved.
