(Correspondents: Ren Xuguang and Chen Yuan) On January 29, 2022, SEM Activities of Celebrating the Chinese New Year, Condolences to Old Comrades and Writing Spring Festival Couplets to Send Blessings were held in MBA Center of North Campus. 25 retired SEM teachers gathered together to pay close attention to the growth and development of the School. Li Yaoping, the Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, Huang Meijuan, the Associate Dean, Wang Weidong, the Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, and Cheng Weifeng, the Deputy Division-level Organizer attended the forum, reported the development of the School last year to the old comrades, and sent good wishes for the Year of Tiger to convey the warm care of the School.
Li Yaoping reported the progress of the School’s work last year from the aspects of Party building thought cohesion, first-class specialty construction, discipline research progress, improvement of teaching staff, internationalization and MBA development, and highlights of student work, and looked forward to the future development plan of the School. He said that the achievements made by the School cannot be separated from the solid accumulation of old comrades’ entrepreneurship, and the teachers and students of the School should draw nutrition from the struggle spirit of the old comrades and inject valuable spiritual power into the better development of the School. It was expected that the old comrades would continue to pay attention to the growth of the School and give more valuable opinions for the long-term steady development of the School.
Jin Yajing, the former secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Secretary of SEM Party Committee, Yang Zhinong, the Executive Vice Chairman of Social Work Services in the School and the Deputy Secretary of SEM Party Committee, and Wen Xiaoni, the retired professor of SEM, spoke highly of and praised the achievements made by the School, and affirmed that the leadership team of the School led the School to overcome difficulties and seek development. By sharing their experiences in working in the School, they encouraged the leading team of the School to make unremitting efforts, carry forward the team spirit, gather together and strive for progress, to build a high-level school of economics and management with distinctive characteristics, and scale new heights by constantly summing up the past experience at the same time. The old comrades had expressed their gratitude to the School for its concern and blessings to them, and would always pay attention to the development of the School in the future, glow in their retirement posts and wish the School a prosperous construction and greater glory.
Before the symposium, Li Yaoping invited Shi Xinghai, a member of Shaanxi Calligrapher’s Association, Executive Director of Xi’an Calligraphers Association, Director of Xi’an Baqiao District Cultural Center, and SEM visiting professor, to handwrite the Spring Festival couplets and send blessings to the old comrades. After the symposium, the old comrades happily selected the Spring Festival couplets and thanked the School for its care.
At the same time, at the scene, SEM welcomed the “reserved program” of the Spring Festival – handwriting of Spring Festival couplets to send blessings arrived as promised after the epidemic ended. Li Yaoping and Geng Xinxuan, a retired division-level cadre, wrote together to send blessings. Words of blessing, and plenty of festive and auspicious Spring Festival couplets with ink fragrance brought a peaceful and joyful atmosphere to the New Year. SEM teachers also came to the scene one after another to receive Spring Festival couplets and take a group photo. It was wished that all teachers and students could get a prosperous Year of the Tiger and a happy family, and the School could get a better future and a better chapter!
