The Research Center for Shaanxi Information Resources was established in October, 2008, which is one of the key research bases of philosophy and social sciences of Shaanxi province. Under the center, there are Institute of Information Management, Institute of Knowledge Management, Institute of Electronic Commerce, etc. The center has undertaken more than 40 projects including 9 national projects and 14 provincial projects. The center has cooperated with Shaanxi Institute of Science and Technology Information, Institute of Electronic Science and Technology Information under Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Beijing TRS company to conduct scientific research and joint training programs .The center also developed international cooperation. An academic committee composed of renowned scholars and practitioners from well-known universities, research institutes and corporations has been set up . The goal of the center is to build a top and advanced information resources research, information analysis and consulting base in northwestern region.
