(Correspondent:Ma Yuankai) On August 16, 2019, the appointment ceremony of Professor Benjamin Lev of Drexel University in the United States as Honorary Professor of the School of Economics and Management, Xidian University, was held in Xinyuan Building of South Campus. Party Secretary Li Yaoping and Vice Dean Chai Jian attended the appointment ceremony.

At the appointment ceremony, Li Yaoping briefly introduced the basic profile of the School to Benjamin Lev. He pointed out that in the past 40 years of development; the School has always relied on the XDU’s unique platform advantages in the field of electronic information disciplines, closely followed the development trend of the information age, explored the integration of advantageous disciplines, and achieved certain results in talent training, teaching and scientific research. However, there is still room for improvement in international cooperation and exchanges. Professor Benjamin Lev is aspired to join us, who can innovate the teaching concepts and methods of the School, and help the School introduce and train scientific research talents, broaden its international vision and enhance cooperation level.

Benjamin Lev fully recognized the achievements of the School of Economics and Management, Xidian University. He introduced the history of his cooperation with Chinese universities and the experience of exchanging views with and studying together with Chinese students who went to the United States for further study, and highly praised the Chinese students. Benjamin Lev appointed as an honorary professor of the School will make full use of the international academic resources at his disposal to contribute to the construction and development of the School, and will pay a frequent visit to the School to make reports to the teachers and students of the School.
