The Research Institute of Xi'an Development was established in May 2018, which is an high end think tank jointly funded by the Xi’an Municipal Government and Xidian. With the development of the school, it aims to facilitate the construction of Xi’an’s National Central City and Cosmopolitan City along the Belt and Road and support the development of relevant disciplines at Xidian. The center acts as an important platform for the cooperation between the Xi’an Municipal Government and Xidian and serves as a consultant institution for the development of Xi’an focusing on strategic research, decision-making advisory, talent training, and international exchange.
