(Correspondent: Ji Yuyao, Li Xin) On March 8, March 17 and March 24, the teachers and students of the XDU-VT Program of the School of Economics and Management carried out the exchange and practical activities with the theme of "Peer Learning Month - Snow's Theme Exhibition" with the teachers and students of the School of Foreign Languages of Northwestern University on Chang'an Campus of the University.

On the afternoon of March 24, Li Yaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management, Zhang Weili, head of the Internationalization Program, some teachers of the XDU-VT Program, and students of the program class went to Northwest University together, and were warmly received by Ms. Chen Juan, secretary-general of the Snow Research Center of Shaanxi Province, lecturers of the School of Foreign Languages of Northwest University, and the students of the English C class of grade 2022. Teachers and students from both universities visited the China-US Friendship Monument together, and student representatives from both sides read aloud and translated a message from the monument to commemorate the bridge of friendship between China and the United States built by Helen Snow and Mr. An Gui.

Afterwards, the teachers and students of the two universities moved to the Xixue Building and visited the exhibition of the deeds of international friends Helen Snow and Agnes Smedley together. Li Yaoping, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Economics and Management, made a concluding speech, saying, "I hope that students can learn more about China while broadening their horizons, and tell the world more about China as you see it". He especially mentioned that General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of "telling China's story and spreading China's voice", and encouraged students to learn and understand the spirit of Snow and other friends. He also emphasized that in this period of sudden changes in China-US relations, it is even more important to highly understand the special significance of humanistic exchanges between Chinese and American universities, and hoped that all of us would become bridge-builders like Helen Snow and other international friends.

After the visit, the teachers and students of the two institutions gathered in the second classroom to play games. During the activity, everyone took the initiative to communicate and actively participated in the games, which further enhanced the friendship between the students of the two institutions in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

At the end of the activity, Ms. Chen Juan and Ms. Zhang Weili made concluding speeches on several thematic exchange and practical activities, expressing their gratitude and good wishes to the teachers and students of the two institutions and hoping to strengthen the cooperation and exchange between the two schools by taking this kind of activity as an opportunity to continue the chapter of the inheritance of the spirit of the red friends hand in hand.

The arrangement of the two previous events and this one is basically the same, based on the cooperation agreement between the School of Economics and Management of XDU and the School of Foreign Languages of Northwestern University and the Snow Center of Shaanxi Province, there have been many interactions before, which were mainly attended online. In this spring of 2023, the students of the XDU-VT program were able to have cross-campus exchanges offline, and the students from both sides took this opportunity to expand their circle of friends, forming a good atmosphere of mutual help and learning, which is conducive to the all-around growth of the students from both universities.
