(Correspondent: Ma Yuankai) On October 19, the School of Economics and Management held two donation ceremonies at the time of the First Alumni Reunion Day of Xidian University. Shanghai Golden Education and Training Co., Ltd. donated 180 thousand yuan to the School for school construction and development. Professor Shi Yahan donated some historical data about the school collected so as to celebrate 40th anniversary of the founding of the School. Li Yaoping, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Li Changxin, Sales Director, College Business Department in western region, Shanghai Golden Education and Training Co., Ltd., Shi Jian, daughter of Professor Shi Yahan, and MBA students of class 2006 attended the donation ceremony held by the Deputy Dean Chai Jian.

Li Yaoping welcomed alumni and expressed gratitude of the School for the two donors on behalf of the School. He introduced basic conditions of the School, summarized development of the School, and formulated development strategies of the School in recent three years. The School will be subject to the fifth round of A-level subject review and convene 40thanniversary of the founding of the School in the next year. The School persists in “Not Forgetting the Original Intention and Bearing Missions in Mind”, makes short-term plans and long-term plans, and focuses on inheritance, expansion, development, and innovation for future development. Moreover, the School expects that social forces can collect social resources, and offer suggestions for development of the School of Economics and Management so as to make a progress.
Li Changxin introduced company development and expressed a sense of relief and pride of being able to support for school construction and development. He pointed out that the School of Economics and Management was developed in the context of Xidian ICT and had properties in consistent with tide of the times and scientific and technological development, thus graduates from the School of Economics and Management, Xidian University were highly recognized in the society. He undertook that he would like to and would make use of unique resources of the company in education, establish long-term cooperation mechanism with the School and provide support for the School in subject construction, talent development, teaching and scientific research, contact and development and other aspects.
Shi Yahan is the founder and the first Department Head of the Department of Management Engineering and Intelligence Engineering (the former School). Shi Jian donated historical data about the founding of the School on behalf of her father Shi Yahan, including data about establishment of the Department of Management Engineering and Intelligence Engineering, contacts of students at the beginning of the founding of the School, two volumes of Xidian University Moves Forward (which recorded big news of the School from 1990s to 2010s) and others. Shi Jian said that her father would be happy if those data could contribute to and play a role in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the School.
Kang Ya, representative of MBA students from class 2006 delivered a speech. Back to the alma mater on the First Alumni Reunion Day after being graduated for 10 years, she felt complicated. She felt the deep love of the alma mater to alumni, construction and development achievements made by the alma mater in 88 years, and the flourishing momentum of the School of Economics and Management, thus she was proud. Moreover, she looked forward to more exchange and interaction with the School in the future so as to cooperate with the School and contribute to celebrating the 40thanniversary of the founding of the School.

It is said that the donation ceremony has officially raised the curtain for the 40thanniversary of the founding of the School. Then, the School will conduct a series of activities in strategic consulting, academic, teaching, alumni, literary forms of students and other aspects, take actual actions, firmly conduct work in all aspects, not forget original intention, and bear missions in mind so as to pay a tribute to development achievements made by the School in the past 40 years.

Shi Yahan, male, born in December 1929, ancestral home in Chongming Island, Shanghai, participated in the revolution in 1944, joined in the CPC in 1945, and took part in the New Fourth Army in September 1945. He was graduated from the major of Radio, Huazhong Xuefeng University in 1946, graduated from the major of Advanced School Communication in 1954, and received further education in the Department of Computer Science, the School of Northwest Institute of Telecommunications Engineering for three years. Moreover, he has engaged in Radio Engineering and Teaching Management for a long time. In addition, he was in charge of communication for the seven campaigns in middle Jiangsu Province, Huai-Hai Campaign, Dujiang Campaign, Songhu Campaign, Fuzhou Campaign, and Xiamen Campaign and elected as a model party member. After liberation, he has engaged in education for a long time, and acted as the Head of Teaching and Research Office, Deputy Head of the Department of Electronic Devices, and the Head of the Department of Management Engineering and Intelligence Engineering, Shenyang Communication University, the PLA Communication Engineering College, Xi'an military Telecommunications Engineering Institute, Northwest Institute of Telecommunication Engineering, and Xidian University.
